Helen is a Law Clerk with Shine Lawyers’ Personal Injury team in Queensland. Based in Shine’s Helensvale branch, she assists clients who have been injured through no fault of their own and supports them through each stage of their claim.

Helen works across a range of personal injury matters, including:

• Workers’ compensation claims

• Public liability claims

• Motor vehicle accident claims

Helen brings broad legal experience across several practice areas. She previously worked in Abuse Law for over a year, supporting survivors through complex and sensitive matters. She has also held Legal Secretary roles across commercial litigation, property, family law and defendant insurance matters, where she assisted with case preparation, drafting court documents and managing client communications.

Helen is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) with a Minor in Public Relations at Queensland University of Technology and is working toward admission as a legal practitioner.

Helen was drawn to law because of her desire to advocate for people who may not have the power or confidence to stand up for themselves. She is particularly passionate about supporting vulnerable members of the community, including those within the prison system. Helen strongly believes that every person deserves human rights, fairness and the presumption of innocence. She is committed to being an advocate for individuals whose voices are often overlooked, especially those from difficult backgrounds whose credibility may unfairly be questioned.

Known for her compassionate and thoughtful approach, Helen takes the time to understand each client’s unique circumstances. By combining empathy with strong communication skills, she strives to ensure her clients feel heard, respected and supported throughout their legal journey.
