Works full time, part time or casually
A worker does not include a person employed by the Commonwealth government.
Physical or mental injury under NTWorkSafe laws
Physical or mental injuries include:
A disease (including but not limited to asbestosis, silicosis, mesothelioma, lung cancer etc)
The aggravation, acceleration, exacerbation, recurrence or deterioration of a pre-existing physical or mental injury or disease
Note that mental injuries caused by the following actions aren’t eligible for a claim under NTWorkSafe laws:
Reasonable management action on behalf of your employer
A reasonable decision by your employer to not take management action
Your expectation that management action would or wouldn’t be taken
