Niousha is an Associate of Shine Lawyers’ Class Actions practice. Based in Shine Lawyers’ Sydney CBD branch, Niousha represents groups of ordinary Australians who have been wronged by governments and big organisations.

Prior to joining Shine Lawyers, Niousha practised in the area of medical law, initially beginning her legal career acting for plaintiffs and assisting individuals who had suffered harm due to medical negligence. Wanting to deepen her understanding of the legal landscape, she then later transitioned to working on the defendant and insurer side of medical litigation. This experience allowed her to gain valuable insight into how institutions, insurers, and medical professionals approach claims, manage risk, and defend legal proceedings.

Having worked on both sides of medical law, Niousha brings a well-rounded perspective to her practice. Her experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants provides her with a deeper understanding of litigation strategy, the challenges faced by clients, and the approaches often taken by large organisations when responding to claims. This dual perspective informs the way she approaches matters today.

Niousha is driven by a strong passion for advocacy, particularly for individuals who may feel disadvantaged or overlooked when facing powerful institutions. She is motivated by the opportunity to support the “underdog” and ensure that her clients’ voices are heard. Her experience across both sides of litigation has reinforced her commitment to providing clear, compassionate, and strategic legal representation, always focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for the people she represents.

Her academic background reflects a longstanding interest in the intersection between medicine and law. Niousha is drawn to the complexity of these matters, where legal and medical issues often overlap. While she enjoys working through the technical and strategic aspects of complex claims, she also understands that behind every case is a person who has experienced harm. For this reason, she places a strong emphasis on empathy, transparency, and clear communication throughout the legal process, ensuring her clients feel supported at every stage of their claim.

Fluent in both English and Persian (Farsi), Niousha can meet with English and Farsi-speaking clients in the Sydney community and beyond.
