Marguerita is a hard-working, empathetic solicitor with a background full of diverse life experiences.
During her childhood in Ireland her father, a bricklayer, fell from scaffolding and suffered a back injury. When compensation was not available, their family struggled financially. Marguerita was driven to become a personal injuries lawyer to help others in similar situations.
After finishing school, Marguerita commenced her legal career as a junior legal secretary. In 2004, she backpacked around Australia where she met her now husband. The following year, the pair returned to Ireland. Marguerita continued working in personal injuries at a local law firm and completed a diploma in Legal Studies and Practice at Griffith College. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal and stayed in the same field before moving back to Australia in 2009 where she was employed by a large Brisbane law firm. She was promoted from a paralegal to a law clerk managing her own branch.
Marguerita has completed a Bachelor of Laws at USQ followed by a Graduate Diploma from the College of Law.
Marguerita takes the time to listen and understand who her clients are, how their injuries have impacted their lives and thinks outside the box when it comes to gathering evidence. This allows her to deliver the best possible results.
