Lisa is a Practice Leader in Shine Lawyers’ Class Actions Practice, with extensive experience leading complex, large‑scale litigation. She is recognised for her strategic leadership and strong advocacy on behalf of people seeking accountability and redress.
Lisa holds a Master of Laws from the University of Cambridge, along with undergraduate degrees in law and commerce from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. Her professional standing has been recognised through her nomination as a finalist for the NSW Women Lawyers’ Association Woman Lawyer of the Year and Special Counsel of the Year at the Lawyers’ Weekly Women in Law Awards.
She has significant class action experience acting for plaintiffs and group members across shareholder (securities) claims, financial products, and product liability matters. Before joining Shine Lawyers, Lisa developed extensive plaintiff‑led class action, large scale commercial litigation, and corporate insolvency experience at a number of law firms in Australia.
Lisa also brings valuable in‑house experience, having worked as Senior Legal Counsel and Director within the Office of General Counsel at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC). In that role, she managed complex commercial litigation and disputes, and advised across audit, regulatory, compliance and enforcement matters.
Lisa is known for her ability to manage highly complex litigation while maintaining a clear strategic focus on outcomes. She brings disciplined case management, rigorous analysis, and a strong commercial perspective to matters involving significant legal and regulatory risk. A strong proponent of alternative dispute resolution, Lisa is also valued for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to mentoring and developing legal teams.
