Kate Harris is a Senior Associate with Shine Lawyers’ Personal Injury team. Based in Shine’s Carindale branch, Kate represents clients with compensation claims involving:
Kate brings more than 16 years of experience in personal injury law, including 7 years as a practising solicitor and a further 9 years working in insurance and personal injury as a paralegal, giving her a rare depth of practical and procedural insight across the full lifecycle of claims.

Kate is highly experienced in managing complex personal injury matters autonomously, including running files through to trial where required to secure just outcomes for her clients. Her practice spans motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation and public liability matters, with a strong reputation for thorough preparation and determined advocacy.
Before joining Shine, Kate held roles at leading Queensland personal injury firms including Turner Freeman Lawyers and Quinn & Scattini Lawyers, progressing from senior paralegal to solicitor and associate roles.
Kate studied law at Southern Cross University, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws in 2018, and completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in the same year. She was admitted to practice in December 2018 in the Supreme Court of Queensland.
