Garreth Turner has been a member of Shine Lawyers since 2009 and is the General Manager of North Queensland. As a local Townsville resident, Garreth is passionate about fighting for the rights of the local community and ensuring those in need have access to quality legal advice and guidance.

Garreth became a practising solicitor in 2008. He worked for a small local firm providing advice on a variety of matters including Criminal, Family and Wills & Estates. Shortly after, Garreth joined Shine Lawyers to stand up for the little guy, ensuring those who have been wronged receive fair and proper compensation for their losses.

Since joining Shine, Garreth has refined his area of practice to specialise in catastrophic injuries, dealing with some of the firm's most complex medical cases.

Working alongside the Major Claims department, Garreth fights to obtain justice for those who have suffered severe brain, spinal and orthopaedic injuries. For Garreth, representing the disenfranchised is an honour and a privilege and he will not rest until justice is obtained for his clients.

Outside the office, Garreth is an active member of the Townsville community. He fosters a close relationship with Ronald McDonald's North Queensland house where he provides support to children and families in need.

Garreth is also heavily involved in advocating public safety matters such as road safety awareness to protect members of the Townsville community. He supported an initiative of the Townsville Bicycle User Group to promote new legislation regulating the safe distance between cars and cyclists and was a sponsor of the 2015 Sue Bell Memorial Ride.
