Garreth Turner is the Head of Personal Injury North Queensland at Shine Lawyers and has been proudly serving clients across the region since joining the firm in 2009. Based in Townsville, Garreth is deeply committed to helping people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives, ensuring they have access to quality legal advice, expert representation, and the justice they deserve.

Admitted as a solicitor in 2008, Garreth began his legal career with a local law firm where he gained experience across a broad range of practice areas, including criminal law, family law, and wills and estates. Drawn to the opportunity to stand up for individuals against powerful insurers and organisations, he joined Shine Lawyers and has since dedicated his career to helping injured Australians secure fair outcomes.

Over the years, Garreth has developed extensive expertise, including many years working with serious and catastrophic injury claims where he gained invaluable exposure working on some of the firm's most complex and high-value matters, representing clients who have suffered significant brain, spinal and orthopaedic injuries. His practice is built on a commitment to thorough preparation, strategic advocacy and a genuine desire to improve the lives of those affected by life-changing injuries.

Known for his approachable nature and unwavering dedication, Garreth understands that behind every claim is a person and a family navigating uncertainty. Outside of the office, Garreth remains actively involved in the North Queensland community. He has developed a long-standing partnership with the Brighter Lives Hospital Foundation, helping support children and families facing difficult circumstances. For more than four years, Garreth has also proudly hosted the annual Brighter Lives Charity Golf Day in Townsville, an event that has helped raise over $80,000 to support the Foundation's vital programs and services.

Alongside his charitable work, Garreth is a passionate advocate for community safety and road safety awareness. He has supported a number of initiatives aimed at protecting vulnerable road users, including campaigns promoting safer passing distances between motorists and cyclists. His commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond the courtroom and reflects the same values that define his legal practice: compassion, fairness, advocacy and a genuine desire to help people.
