Cosmo is a Special Counsel with Shine Lawyers’ Class Actions team and advocates for people who have been wronged by governments, businesses, financial institutions and other organisations. Based in Shine’s Brisbane office, Cosmo understands that behind every class action are people facing a difficult and uncertain time. He brings real empathy to the way he works with them, along with the resilience to see a hard-fought matter through to the end.

With two decades of legal experience, Cosmo brings a broad and diverse background spanning litigation, regulatory matters and public law. Before joining Shine Lawyers, he held a number of senior legal roles across both private practice and government, building extensive experience on a wide range of complex matters. Throughout his career, he has worked in areas including administrative law, commercial litigation, environmental wrongdoing, product liability, regulatory prosecutions, criminal law, disability and mental health law, coronial inquests and commissions of inquiry.

One of Cosmo’s proudest career achievements was leading the team that secured the highest penalty for an environmental offence in Queensland history, reflecting both his strategic expertise and dedication to accountability and justice.
