Cihan is a solicitor working in Shine’s Class Actions team. Based in Sydney, Cihan is committed to obtaining justice for group members who have been wronged by governments and large corporations.

Prior to joining Shine Lawyers, Cihan gained valuable experience in plaintiff-side class action litigation. In this role, he assisted senior solicitors and counsel across large-scale proceedings, contributing to trial preparation, settlement administration processes, and the drafting and preparation of court documents. This experience provided him with practical, hands-on exposure to the complexities involved in running major class actions from commencement through to resolution.

Cihan was drawn to the study of law by a desire to stand up for individuals and communities who have been adversely affected through no fault of their own. He brings a careful, methodical approach to his practice and places a strong emphasis on clear, respectful communication, particularly when guiding clients through complex and unfamiliar legal processes.

With a strong commitment to access to justice, Cihan has focused his early career on class action work that seeks to address systemic issues and improve outcomes for large groups of people. He is motivated by the opportunity to help drive meaningful change through collective legal action.

Fluent in Turkish, Cihan can meet with both English and Turkish speaking clients in the Sydney community and beyond.
