Caitlin is a Special Counsel with the Shine Lawyers’ Class Actions team who fights to secure justice for thousands of Australians who have been wronged by governments, businesses, and other organisations.
At 17 years old, Caitlin suffered a terrible car accident which resulted in her own Personal Injury claim. It was the experience of observing and admiring her own lawyer’s compassion, tenacity and legal knowledge that inspired her to become a lawyer.
“I love the idea of assisting people who might be the underdog, who are disadvantaged in some way or who don’t know where to start when navigating the legal system.”
Prior to joining Shine, Caitlin worked as a Family Law litigator, acting for both Applicants and Respondents. She is a Family Law Accredited Specialist and a regular volunteer for Women’s Legal Service, providing free family law and domestic violence advice to women each month.
Caitlin completed a Bachelor of Arts Honours (Majoring in Law) at Carleton University in Canada before her Juris Doctor with the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Griffith University. She was admitted as a lawyer in September 2010.
