Wayne Attrill

As Shine Lawyers’ first in-house specialist in litigation finance, Wayne has over 17 years of experience in the third-party financing of complex and largescale litigation, including class actions and other representative proceedings, in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, and countries within the European Union. He joined Australia’s pioneer of litigation funding, IMF (Australia) Limited (now Omni Bridgeway Limited), in 2007 and as a Senior Investment Manager was responsible for sourcing, managing, and resolving some of its largest investments. He was a member of the Investment Committee which was responsible for IMF’s and OBL’s selection of case investments globally. Prior to joining Shine Lawyers, he provided consultancy services to Shine Lawyers and to an Australian-based litigation fund. He currently sits on the Advisory Committee of UK-based financier, Winward UK Limited. Wayne has published and spoken extensively, in Australia and overseas, on the origins, development, regulation, and future of litigation finance. At Shine Lawyers Wayne will deploy his specialist skills to secure, on the best terms commercially available, the litigation-specific finance Shine Lawyers need to advance our clients’ access to justice and achieve a just and fair resolution of their claims.
