Beyond her professional commitment, her empathetic nature stands out. Understanding the intricacies and emotional undertones of common law claims, Sophie strives to make the journey not just about compensation but also about helping clients find the justice they truly deserve.
Sophie Anderson, based in our Brisbane CBD office, is a pivotal member of the Shine legal team. With over three years of experience at Shine, Sophie's legal journey started with the J&J Mesh Class Action and then progressed to Abuse Law. Under her stewardship, files spanning QLD, SA, and NSW have been proficiently managed. Her legal repertoire, however, extends beyond her current focus. Before joining Shine, she honed her skills in criminal defence and employment law.
Sophie's tenacity is unparalleled; she fiercely champions the 'squeaky wheel' approach, ensuring her clients’ matters are addressed promptly and efficiently. Coupled with an impeccable attention to detail, she meticulously scrutinises every aspect to secure the best outcomes for her clients.
A standout moment in her career was her extraordinary dedication to a client from rural New South Wales. Despite the client's limited access to internet and phone services, Sophie travelled to his hometown to facilitate necessary appointments, solidifying a bond that ensured a successful claim and a satisfied client. In FY22 alone, Sophie secured millions in compensation for clients in NSW and QLD, confronting both State governments and private schools.
Currently, Sophie is also actively assisting the Practice Manager in Forced Adoption cases in Queensland. As she continues to further her knowledge, Sophie is pursuing a Bachelor of Justice and Law (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology.
For any legal inquiries, do not hesitate to reach out. Sophie is more than ready to assist and guide you through your legal journey.
