Nina is a Special Counsel with Shine Lawyers’ Medical Negligence practice in Toowoomba. Nina has been part of the Shine team since 2012 and brings more than a decade of experience advocating for vulnerable clients. Nina began her career at Shine as a paralegal in the firm’s Abuse Law practice before progressing to become an abuse lawyer, where she spent over ten years representing survivors and helping them navigate the legal system. This extensive background has shaped her compassionate, client-focused approach to legal practice and informs the way she now assists individuals pursuing medical negligence claims.

Growing up in a large family with ten brothers, Nina learned early on the importance of standing up for herself and making her voice heard. That experience helped shape her strong sense of advocacy and resilience, qualities that continue to define her approach as a lawyer. Nina brings that same determination to her work, ensuring her clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they pursue justice.

Through her years working with survivors of abuse, Nina developed a deeply trauma-informed approach to legal practice. She understands that many clients come to her during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. As a result, Nina prioritises her clients’ health, dignity, and wellbeing throughout the legal process. She works carefully and compassionately to ensure clients feel safe, empowered, and in control while their claim progresses.
