Rebecca decided to become a lawyer at the age of 15 while undertaking work experience with a legal aid solicitor. She wanted to help people in difficult positions who needed somebody to advocate for them, and that experience cemented her choice of career.
She obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology in 2005 followed by practical legal training through the College of Law in 2006 and a Diploma in Practice Management in 2008. Upon completion of her studies she commenced work with Shannon Donaldson Province Lawyers in Dalby. For six years she worked as the duty solicitor in Dalby and gained experience in many practice areas, focusing predominantly on family and criminal law.
Rebecca joined Shine in 2011 and continued to work in family law before moving into estate litigation in 2017. Rebecca’s primary focus is on acting for clients who are claiming for further provision from an Estate and representing them through the compulsory mediation process and trial where required. She finds satisfaction in achieving settlements and helping to secure the financial futures of clients in need.
Rebecca also prepares Wills and Powers of Attorney and acts for executors administering estates.
Rebecca is approachable, easy to talk to and compassionate. She is efficient and works quickly and effectively to secure the best possible outcome for clients at the earliest possible time.
