Helping claimants during the most vulnerable time of their life is what makes personal injury law so rewarding, says Nicole.
While Nicole’s most valued experience has been learnt through the challenges a claim brings, she has studied at RMIT and the University of New England to enhance her legal knowledge. Nicole has vast legal experience as a result of working with prestigious industry names such as, Maurice Blackburn, Slater and Gordon and Nowicki Carbone and also defendant experience with Comcare self-insurer Linfox. She joined Shine Lawyers in January 2018.
With transport accidents and workers compensation her main areas of practice, Nicole has been involved in diverse legal actions. At Maurice Blackburn, she commenced the first transport accident practice under the then new Transport Accident Act 1984 with the now Victorian Road Safety Commissioner, John Voyage. She even ran a Victorian Supreme Court test case on the definition of ‘duty of care’ in 2016 - Homsi v Homsi 2016 VSC 354.
Nicole’s favourite part of legal practice is first and foremost engaging with clients, secondly the forensic and tactical elements of a claim.
