Nehad chose a career in Law in order to show people that the legal system isn’t there to scare them, but for the most part to help and protect them. Growing up, he watched his immigrant parents, extended family and others in his community struggle with and fear the legal system. He knew that by studying Law at university he had the opportunity to make a difference.
Since making that choice, Nehad has become a highly educated, hard-working and dedicated lawyer. In 2016 he studied a Bachelor of Arts / Law at LaTrobe University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law, followed by a Master of Laws at Deakin University in 2017.
Prior to joining Shine Lawyers, Nehad worked as a family lawyer at a number of suburban firms. He was also exposed to Wills and Estates and worked alongside a Criminal Lawyer on a number of matters. When the opportunity arose to work for Shine Lawyers, he “grabbed it with both hands” even though it meant going from a lawyer to a paralegal. After almost eight weeks in a Paralegal role, Nehad decided to apply for a solicitor position at Ballarat and was successful.
Nehad finds it rewarding to be able to inform injured clients about their entitlements for compensation while providing clarity and reassurance about their uncertain futures. To find out more about Nehad and how he can help you, contact our Ballarat team.
