Passionate and dedicated, Jake Gardiner is a compensation law expert, having worked in plaintiff-focused litigation, including Personal Injury, Motor Vehicle Accident Claims, Product Liability, Workers Compensation, Abuse Law and Superannuation and Insurance Claims, since 2008.

He is driven by his desire to make the legal system more accessible, allowing people to access justice regardless of their financial or personal circumstances.

“In my role, I see firsthand how we can play a role in making amends for wrongs that have been committed and the difference this can have on a client’s life. It is a great privilege to be able to support people who have been mistreated secure justice”.

Jake commenced his legal career representing injured clients in the Northern Territory in 2008, before moving on to work for a large national law firm for almost eight years, before joining Shine Lawyers in 2019. He is also a volunteer solicitor at a local community legal centre, where he has volunteered for several years in order to ensure that he does all that he can to support the community. Similarly, Jake has served on a law association committee and contributed to various legal publications over the years.

Jake is a Practice Leader in Shine’s Abuse Law practice, assisting clients who have suffered abuse due to failures by organisations, business and government. In addition, Jake is the Legal Manager of Claimify, Australia’s first online personal injury claim platform, a partner firm to Shine Lawyers. By moving the legal journey online, Claimify makes the claims process more efficient and flexible; allowing clients to access justice in a low-cost, convenient way.

Based in Brisbane, Jake works with clients both locally and remotely.
