Jacob worked part time for a number of years as a research clerk in a barristers’ chambers whilst completing his studies at the University of Queensland. His role in chambers gave him exposure to a diverse range of legally complex and often high-value litigated cases. During this time he also volunteered at the LawRight self-representation service in the Federal Courts, helping self-represented litigants in largely administrative law, discrimination and employment disputes.
Jacob graduated with a Bachelor of Arts/Laws (hons) in 2017 before undertaking Professional Legal Training, from which he graduated in 2018. In 2018, Jacob was employed at Shine Lawyers in the Medical Negligence team.
Of all the areas of law, Jacob considers Medical negligence to be the most challenging and engaging. He relishes the opportunity to help people redress the profoundly life-altering impacts of medical negligence.
