Gemma completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Politics and Government at Griffith University, graduating in 2012. She then completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. She worked as an advisor to a member of the Queensland Parliament and then as an advisor to a member of the Federal Parliament. She began her legal career at a community legal centre in Western Australia before returning home to the Gold Coast and beginning work as a solicitor specialising in personal injury claims.

Gemma finds satisfaction and purpose in using her skills to interpret and access the justice system for those who may have difficulty obtaining a successful outcome on their own.
