Emma immigrated to Australia as a child from war torn southern Africa. After living first in government migrant housing, slowly she and her family worked to rebuild.

These experiences taught Emma that, with support, damaged lives can be restored. Just as importantly, from a community perspective, she learned people don’t actually need to have anything in common to be able to understand each other.

Both those lessons drew Emma to practice of personal injury law, through which she can help people from all walks of life to recover from trauma and move on with their lives.

Emma has extensive experience in all types compensation claims, having practiced exclusively in this area for more than seventeen years. She is known for her warm and compassionate nature and her professional and persistent representation of her clients, and has earnt the respect of both colleagues and adversaries.

As the Victorian General Manager at Shine, Emma leads a team of over a hundred lawyers and paralegals to continually provide personal and dedicated service to their clients. This team strives to achieve the best and fastest claim resolutions for Victorians injured at work, on the road or by another’s carelessness.

Emma has practiced in the Supreme Courts of Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory and the High Court of Australia. She is a member of the Victorian Law Institute’s Law and Technology Committee and the Australian Lawyers Alliance. Prior to joining Shine, she held multiple senior positions in a large international injury law firm.
