Deane is an Associate with Shine Lawyers’ Abuse Law department. She understands the struggles and the bravery of her clients. Helping them through one of the most emotional, challenging times of their life is something she finds rewarding.  Her ability to take the time to listen and connect with every client is her strength as a lawyer.   “Showing compassion and understanding and working with the client is how you achieve the best possible outcome.”

Many years ago, an overseas trip sparked Deane’s interest in pursuing a career in law. During her time in London, she completed some contract work in law firms and realised she had found her new path. She studied law at the Queensland University of Technology, graduating in 2009. She worked as a Personal Injury paralegal and law clerk during her studies and at a Gold Coast law firm upon graduating. In 2017, she joined Shine Lawyers, working in Personal Injury before joining the Abuse Law department in 2020.
