Analytical and detail-oriented, Dean is an experienced member of the Shine Lawyers workers compensation claims team.

Prior to joining Shine, Dean worked as a Loss Adjuster/Factual Investigator for 8 years and became a Chartered Loss Adjuster. During this time he specialised in personal injury matters, property damage and liability claims. After being admitted as a Solicitor in 2017 he worked in insurance law practice, acting on behalf of the Victorian WorkCover Authority, insurers and large organisations.

This experience gives Dean a unique understanding of how workers compensation matters are investigated before and during litigation, as well as an advanced level of technical knowledge and industry understanding.

Dean enjoys investigating the details and analysing the evidence of each claim he works on so that he can better support his clients and ultimately achieve justice for them. This is also why he chose to work in the area of law, because he wanted to participate in a system that enables justice for the community.

Dean holds a Bachelor of Legal Studies (2008) and Bachelor of Laws (2016) from La Trobe University as well as a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (2017) from The College of Law. He also holds a Diploma of Loss Adjusting - Financial Services (2014) from ANZIIF. Dean is admitted as a solicitor in the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of Victoria and also holds a Victorian Investigator licence.
