Charlotte is an Associate and personal injuries expert in Shine Lawyers’ Abuse team. She has over five years’ experience in personal injury law working on claims for injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents, in the workplace or in a public place. She has now turned her attention to the potentially invisible, heartbreaking impacts sustained by victims of abuse.

Charlotte was first attracted to personal injury law due to her strong passion for helping people. She feels very fortunate to be able to use her knowledge of the law to help everyday people fight against injustice. Her work in the Abuse team is particularly important to her, pursuing justice for her clients so they can fight back against the appalling things that have happened to them, obtain an outcome and move forward with their lives; close that hard chapter and come out the other side.

Based in Shine Lawyers Brisbane, Charlotte was recognised for her expertise and commitment to her clients, awarded the Women’s Law Association of Queensland’s Emergent Lawyer of the Year Award in 2018. In addition to her work with Shine, Charlotte volunteers her time with a community legal centre to assist those in the local community who cannot afford traditional legal avenues.

“It’s so rewarding to see the relief in people, knowing they can put a line in the sand under the injustice and move on with their life.”
