Ben chose a career in Law to assist society’s most vulnerable. This passion for helping others drives not only his legal career but also his lifestyle and volunteer activities. Although personal injuries is his primary practice, Ben’s focus extends to a number of other areas such as cycling accident claims and worker’s compensation claims.

This driving passion to right wrong and achieve justice for each of his clients saw Ben recognised for his exemplary legal service by the independent Doyles Guide as a leading work injury compensation lawyer.

Ben studied a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) at Queensland University of Technology. He then completed two years articled clerkship prior to being admitted as a solicitor. He worked at a highly respected firm in the Brisbane CBD for 8.5 years where he was promoted to the role of Senior Associate. He came to Shine Lawyers in 2009.

Before joining Shine, Ben volunteered at the Homeless Persons Legal Clinic and the Civil Self Represented Legal Service. He is a Red Cross donor, an RSPCA supporter and an active surf lifesaver who has been patrolling beaches since 2002. He is also a member of a number of organisations including Queensland Law Society, Australian Lawyers Alliance and the Currumbin Surf Lifesaving Club.
