An integral member of Shine Lawyers’ Brisbane branch, Andrew McCarthy works with a team of dedicated compensation lawyers who provide compensation legal services to the Brisbane community.

For Andrew, the needs of his clients are always paramount. He is passionate about getting the results that truly matter to Brisbane locals, and will go above and beyond to ensure each client receives legal services of the highest quality.

Before commencing his career in the law, Andrew worked in nursing for 25 years. Predominantly in adult intensive care, he witnessed many unfair, and harsh outcomes that he found difficult to reconcile. It was these incidents that he witnessed that inspired his move to the law.

Andrew received his legal qualifications from Southern Cross University in Lismore, and was admitted to practice in New South Wales in 2001. He has worked for a number of different firms across Brisbane, Northern New South Wales and Sydney, practising mainly in personal injury matters, family law and general litigation.

In his legal work, Andrew is driven by the opportunity to give his clients another chance at life. He will take the time to listen to his clients’ stories, and provide sound, practical guidance to resolve their legal claims.
