Albert is a Solicitor with Shine Lawyers’ Abuse Law practice, advocating for survivors of institutional abuse. In his role, Albert assists his clients navigate the legal system, as well as overcome roadblocks from well-resourced defendants.
“When we have successfully obtained justice for our client, I draw satisfaction not only in the compensation we have obtained, but in the fact that their stories have finally been told, and believed.”
Before he began working exclusively in Abuse Law, Albert gained practice experience across several areas of plaintiff-law, including Public Liability, Motor Vehicle Accident, Workers’ Compensation, Medical Negligence and Employment Law.
“I believe that no matter an individual’s background, they should always have the option to access the legal system and seek justice when wrongs have been committed against them.”
Albert previously worked at an international non-government organisation, and his experience working with the legal team and witnessing their efforts to advance human rights and seek justice which inspired him to pursue a career in law. He studied at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of International Studies in 2013 and completing a Juris Doctor in 2018. The following year, Albert completed his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law and was later admitted as a legal practitioner.
Albert can speak Mandarin, as well as possessing a basic understanding of reading and writing in the language.
