With an interest in the law driven by a dedication to social justice, Kayla Cox is a fighter for the underdog. After obtaining a degree in criminal justice from RMIT, Kayla realised she wanted to learn more about civil litigation and personal injury. She followed her studies up with a three-month internship as an investigative assistant at the Australian Federal Police.
Kayla then obtained a job as a legal assistant in a top-tier plaintiff firm, where she worked her way up to the role of law clerk. Although she’s worked in public liability for a number of years, she still enjoys the variety and complexity these matters offer. She remains driven by the motivation to help everyday people access the right compensation for their injuries.
Kayla acknowledges that public liability claims can be complex and challenging. However, if the end result is a successful outcome and a client with a smile on their face, she considers her job well done.
