Debbie has been working in Law for over 35 years and says she didn’t choose the career, it chose her. In her primary practice area of major claims, she focuses predominantly on seeking justice for severely injured children. She makes sure they receive the best possible rehabilitation support and treatment to recover and complete their education to ensure the best possible life outcomes in the future. She has many years of experience and expertise in this area. According to Debbie, it’s a privilege and a pleasure to play a part in ensuring severely injured children mature into adults and are, financially and otherwise, well set up for their futures, providing them with the best quality of life.
Prior to joining Shine Lawyers, Debbie worked for Clewett Corser & Drummond and then Murdoch, Phillips and McVeigh, both in Toowoomba. She has been employed in the roles of receptionist and legal secretary and has worked in many areas of law including wills and estates, conveyancing, mortgage/loan documentation, family law, criminal law, commercial litigation, leases and personal injury litigation. For the past 25 years, she has worked exclusively in personal injuries.
Debbie’s many years of experience in the industry make her well skilled with a uniquely thorough understanding of these complex claims. She is readily able to adapt to the uniqueness of each individual’s circumstance. She has the patience, compassion and empathy to support her clients (both the child and their family) throughout the progression of their claims. Depending on the age of the child, the claims process can take many years. Fortunately Debbie has the passion and drive to see each case through for the long haul to completion.
