With a strong focus on client care and attention to detail, Kathlea is committed to ensuring her clients feel heard, respected, and informed throughout every stage of the legal process. She understands that no two stories are the same—and that behind every claim is a person seeking answers, justice, and accountability.

Kathlea Tamvakis is a solicitor in Shine Lawyers’ dedicated medical negligence team, working from our Melbourne branch. She advocates for individuals who have suffered harm as a result of substandard medical care, working with empathy and determination to help clients access the support and compensation they deserve.

Kathlea’s pathway into law began at Shine Lawyers, where she started in an administrative support role before quickly progressing to paralegal, and ultimately solicitor. Her understanding of the client journey—combined with her deep commitment to helping others—drives her approach to practice every day.

Kathlea also holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in human physiology. This scientific foundation gives Kathlea valuable insight into complex medical records, procedures, and terminology—strengthening her ability to assess the merits of a claim, build strong evidence, and communicate clearly with clients and medical experts alike.
