Abuse law

Isobel finds it fulfilling and rewarding to work in areas that help people; this is what drew her to a career in law as she can use her skills to empower vulnerable clients and help them to secure the acknowledgement and justice they deserve.

Passionate and not one to shy away from a challenge, Isobel is an abuse claims lawyer based in our Canberra office.

Isobel has an increased level of experience in representing survivors of abuse in claims against government institutions, the Commonwealth of Australia and various religious institutions. Her career highlights so far include achieving resolutions for her clients despite significant complexities like causation and liability.

The drive to help people extends to Isobel’s life outside of work, where she volunteers as a mentor for the Australian National University Women in Law program and serves as a committee member for Canberra Women in Business.
