Having been with Shine Lawyers for over 20 years, Lisa has worked across the firm’s practice areas, helping many clients right wrongs in their lives. As a result of her experience and expertise, Lisa is now National Practice Leader for the Shine Group which means she oversees each of Shine’s hardworking legal teams across all of the compensation law services we offer.
Lisa’s time with Shine has granted her a deep understanding of the needs of our clients and the legal teams she oversees; something Lisa is devoutly passionate about. She enjoys working closely with each legal team to ensure they are delivering consistent and quality outcomes for every single client; making sure they get the justice they deserve.
I really do think it is a privilege to be able to stand up alongside each of our clients who have been wronged, help them to tell their story, and to fight for the justice they so desperately deserve.
Lisa has always been driven to fight for justice for each of her courageous clients, who have had to overcome many personal challenges, often in the face of great adversity.
Prior to overseeing Shine’s legal teams, her focus was on helping to give survivors of abuse a voice, and achieving what is important for them to move forward; whether that be financial assistance, an apology or an acknowledgement of what they have been through.
Outside her daily work, Lisa is a passionate advocate for reform. An integral force behind the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and the George Pell case on behalf of the victim's family, Lisa and our team of abuse law experts have assisted hundreds of survivors to give evidence and share their stories. Lisa is recognised as an authority on abuse law in Australia, and is frequently sought to provide expert commentary in national media.
