Callum takes great pride in achieving the best possible outcome for his clients, to ensure they can focus on their recovery and their future.
Callum joined the Shine Lawyers team in 2014 and has since worked predominantly in personal injury law, litigating cases across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.
In 2022, Callum was shortlisted as a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards – Dispute Resolution and Litigation category. The Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards showcase the depth of talent amongst Australia’s ‘young gun’ lawyers, recognising their success and passion for the law. Being recognised as a finalist for this award was an incredible achievement for Callum and well-deserved recognition for his tireless pursuit of justice for each one of his clients.
To date, Callum has been instrumental in the outcome of significant litigation across Australia including:
Brockhurst v Rawlings [2021], a case in which a former student successfully secured compensation for the sexual abuse they suffered at the hand of a schoolteacher. The case achieved the highest award of damages in Queensland for a child sexual abuse case.
Gill v Ethicon Sàrl (No 5) [2019], one of Australia’s largest product liability class actions, seeking justice for thousands of Australian women who had suffered due to defective medical devices.
