Amber Lawrence

Amber is an Associate of Shine Lawyers’ national Abuse Law practice, based in our Newcastle branch.

Amber has over five years of post-admission legal experience, including in personal injury, workers’ compensation, public liability, medical negligence, abuse law, criminal law, conveyancing and wills & estates.

Amber’s empathy and passion for helping people feel safe and supported prompted her to study law. While studying law, Amber worked as a pharmacy assistant and dispensary technician. She developed strong customer service skills, a broad understanding of healthcare, and the ability to communicate clearly with doctors, pharmacists and vulnerable people needing care.

During her legal career, Amber has achieved several successful settlements and outcomes for her clients. She is particularly proud of her recent work for a client who suffered a psychological injury in the workplace. Through negotiation and planning, Amber was able to resolve the claim through settlement conferences without the need for her client to potentially relive their trauma through a court hearing.
