"People's circumstances can be complex and they should be treated with patience, dignity and without judgment."
Alda is a solicitor with Shine Lawyers' Abuse Law team in Queensland. Based in Shine's Helensvale branch, Alda is committed to supporting survivors of abuse with genuine compassion and a deep understanding of the challenges her clients face.
Before transitioning into her current role, Alda spent several years building a strong practical foundation in legal support. Prior to joining Shine, she worked as a legal assistant in personal injury law — across workers' compensation, public liability, motor vehicle accident and dust disease matters — before joining Shine's Abuse Law team as a paralegal in 2023. In 2025, she also completed a temporary law clerk secondment in Shine's Southport office, gaining additional experience in workers' compensation, public liability and motor vehicle accident claims.
Although Alda had completed her legal qualifications, she made a deliberate choice to remain in legal support for a number of years. She wanted to develop personal confidence and professional maturity — and to build a thorough, practical grounding in file management, drafting, legal processes and client care — before taking on the added responsibility of managing matters as a solicitor. She stepped into her current role as a solicitor in early 2026.
Growing up overseas before moving to Australia at age nine, Alda understands firsthand that life's circumstances can be complex. That lived experience shapes how she approaches her work — with patience, resilience and without judgment. These qualities are particularly central to her practice in abuse law, where clients are often vulnerable and may have faced significant disadvantage or instability.
