Cameron is renowned for his attention to detail and desire to provide efficient and cost-effective outcomes for injured people. He finished his Bachelor of Laws degree at the end of 2005, graduating with Honours, and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 2007. Yet it was doing work experience with the Legal Aid duty lawyers at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court that convinced Cameron that providing access to justice though working in Law truly was for him.
Cameron started his career in 2006 at Secombs Solicitors, a small firm in Footscray. In his time at Secombs Solicitors he was exposed to a broad range of practice areas including Commercial Litigation, Worker's Compensation, Public Liability, Compulsory Acquisitions, Criminal defence matters and Victims of Crime Compensation claims. After the firm was purchased in 2008, he concentrated on worker’s compensation claims including statutory benefits and common law litigation. In 2011 he opened a law office in Warrnambool where he practiced in a wide range of personal injury matters and in 2013 he became an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law with the Law Institute of Victoria. In 2017, he moved back to Melbourne and again focused on assisting workers through the Victorian workers’ compensation scheme in Werribee until joining Shine Lawyers in July 2018.
Cameron enjoys being able to explain the legal system to injured people in order to help them receive what they’re entitled to. Seeing clients successfully work through very difficult times in their lives while helping them receive decent outcomes is, for Cameron, the most enjoyable aspect of personal injury practice.
