Shine reaches out to Wide Bay locals affected by the Wickham Securities collapse

Shine solicitor Jan Saddler spoke to Bundaberg News Mail regarding the Wickham Securities collapse which has meant up to 30 investors in the Wide Bay Region have lost their nest eggs.

Shine heads to Court tomorrow on behalf of over 100 investors, in order to seek access to documents that could uncover the evidence necessary to start a class action against the company.

Ms Saddler has urged Wide Bay locals to come forward should they be interested in signing up to a possible class action.

In the interview with the Bundaberg News Mail, Ms Saddler said that investors in Bundaberg had invested from $50,000 to more than $1 million with the company.

“These people who were self-funded retirees, who had worked hard all their lives so they would not have to rely on Centrelink or a government pension when they retired” said Ms Saddler.

“Many people have not told their children or family or friends that they have lost money this way.

They feel like they have been foolish.”
