Community and Partnerships
At Shine Lawyers we're proud to support our clients and the communities where we work and live.
Our promise to the community
Everything we do is focused on delivering on our purpose of "Shining a light on injustice and making the world a better place, one client at a time".
Innovative legal services
We will help more people and communities access the justice they deserve through pioneering innovative ways to deliver legal services.
We are committed to fostering a business that is respectful and inclusive of all cultures, abilities, ages, gender identities, sexuality, race, ethnicity and religions.
We support charitable organisations that have developed innovative and meaningful ways of making life better for people.
We recognise our activities impact the environment and are taking steps to improve energy efficiency in our offices, opting for virtual meetings if possible to reduce business travel and encourage sustainability.
Reconciliation Action Plan
We’re helping Reconciliation Australia realise their vision for a just, equitable and reconciled Australia. Our Reconciliation Action Plan outlines the formal steps we are taking.
Shine a Light Foundation
Each year, through our Shine a Light Foundation, we will donate to a charitable organisation that promotes prevention, rehabilitation, education or safety programs for people impacted by injury, injustice or adversity.
Shine a Light Foundation
The Shine a Light Foundation is one way we show our commitment to improving lives and giving back to the communities we live, work and participate in.
Established in 2010, the Shine a Light Foundation is dedicated to supporting charitable organisations that have innovative and meaningful ways of helping people who have been impacted by injury, injustice or adversity.
Our teams, suppliers and clients are passionate about contributing to this philanthropic initiative and so far, we have donated to charities including Eat Up, The Indigenous Literacy Foundation, The Red Rose Foundation, The Pyjama Foundation, Dolly’s Dream, mindDog Australia, SecondBite, Hear For You and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Community volunteer program
Helping people is in our DNA and we are passionate about providing access to justice for all; including marginalised and vulnerable people. Our team members are encouraged to volunteer their time and expertise to help charities, community groups and other worthy organisations, and we provide additional paid volunteer time to help them to do so. Shine’s pro bono and social justice work covers many areas of law which enables us to provide expert legal representation in cases of special public interest and for those who need it most.
