Based in Brisbane, Tracey is a Special Counsel and the Head of Shine’s Loss Recovery practices.
As the Head of Loss Recovery, Tracey leads the following teams to ensure they are righting wrongs and seeking the outcomes most important to our clients:
Tracey has always been driven by her passion to help people in need and chose a career in Law as an avenue for achieving this purpose. With her general practice training and over 20 years of industry experience, Tracey brings an expert skill set, sage advice and legal savvy to each client’s matter.
Prior to her appointment as Head of Loss Recovery, Tracey led Shine’s Wills and Estate Law practice. In this capacity, Tracey enjoyed assisting people who had been mistreated by family members in their Will and took pride in ensuring clients received compensation to help them live a better life. Tracey has a particular affinity with the elderly and in all matters, takes a no-nonsense approach to ensure she gets the best outcome for her clients by pursuing all avenues of evidence.
Tracey was also involved in family provision claims, constructive trust claims, capacity issues, complex estate planning matters, estate administration and elder abuse matters.
In addition to her legal expertise, Tracey is active in her local legal community and has hosted free webinars to help community members understand their rights. She has also provided expert legal commentary to media outlets including 9 NEWS, the Courier Mail, A Current Affair, Lawyers Weekly and Insurance Now to drive legal change and better outcomes for everyday Australians.
