Shakira joined Shine Lawyers in 2018 as a Solicitor within the Abuse Law team. She takes pride in helping those who have survived abuse to get the justice they rightly deserve. Her experience in this specialised area of law has shown Shakira that her clients can feel burdened carrying these past experiences, so honest and clear communication can help them relax, ensuring the legal process is as smooth as possible.

“It’s a privilege to give my clients the opportunity to speak up and be heard, often when they thought no one would ever listen or believe them.”

Prior to completing her Bachelor of Laws and Commerce (Accounting) and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Bond University, Shakira developed a broad range of experience, undertaking internships at various legal practices on the Gold Coast and in Malaysia. Shakira is also equipped to assist members of the community through her fluent Farsi (Persian) and is especially motivated to help those who might feel a language barrier an obstacle to access legal advice.

Shakira enjoys the variety and challenges that come with each individual matter, embracing the opportunities to constantly diversify and expand her experience.
