Kathryn joined Shine Lawyers in 2019 in the Disability Insurance and Superannuation Claims team. In this capacity she assists people who are unable to work due to illness or disability to access benefits from their superannuation, life insurance or other policies, which would otherwise be a lengthy and complicated process.

Knowing how complex the superannuation insurance claim process can be for those unfamiliar with it, she is passionate about ensuring insurers are held accountable for their policies and helping make her clients’ lives easier.

Kathryn supplemented her legal studies working as Research Assistant at the Australian Centre for Health Law Research at Queensland University of Technology. In this role she helped guide how future lawyers will approach this area of law in the future. Kathryn also developed her expertise and experience through a number of traineeships and clerkships, immediately after completing her Bachelor of Laws.

“I am passionate about fighting for my clients, especially in this niche area of law. I am determined to achieve the best possible legal outcome and approach each insurer with tenacity, while showing my clients compassion during, what can be, a very challenging time.”
