Working from Shine’s Carindale branch, James specialises in motor vehicle accident, WorkCover and public liability claims. As a solicitor, James sees his work with clients as a collaborative process. Through this collaboration, he achieves an understanding of his client’s circumstances and needs while his client attains an understanding of the legal process behind their claim.

James decided to study law to pursue a career oriented by justice. He wanted to secure the rights of others by providing them with a stronger voice in the legal realm. This led him to complete a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Queensland & a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice through the College of Law.

Prior to joining Shine Lawyers in 2016, James worked at Auscript to provide legal transcription services to courts and tribunals Australia wide. This distilled his attention to detail and exposed him to the many manifestations of legal practice.

James is committed to removing barriers to his client’s participation in the direction of their cases. By breaking down legal jargon and processes, he seeks to eliminate any confusion or overwhelm that an encounter with the law may bring about.
