James Brett Young is a Senior Solicitor with Shine Lawyers’ Melbourne office.  James works alongside a dedicated team of compensation law experts to provide quality legal advice to members of the local community.

James has always been driven to stand up for the little guy, working exclusively in personal injury law since 2009. He was admitted to practice in both the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia, then worked across the state for various Victorian and National law firms.

James joined Shine Lawyers in 2014, drawn to the firm by its strong client focus and supportive culture. His extensive experience in the industry has granted James invaluable problem solving abilities, which he applies to every client’s case to ensure they receive the compensation they are entitled to.
