“My most significant achievement to date is having the opportunity to practise in an area of law that I am truly passionate about.”

Diyana Perera is a Solicitor with Shine Lawyers’ Reservoir branch. Diyana works alongside a carefully selected team of legal professionals to obtain compensation for members of the local community who have suffered loss on the roads, in the workplace and in public.

It was Diyana’s aunt, also a lawyer, who inspired Diyana’s passion for the law. She followed this passion, graduating from Deakin University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Law and Arts, and was admitted to practice in the State of Victoria in 2015.

Prior to joining the team at Shine, Diyana worked predominantly in Defendant litigation, working for some of Victoria’s largest insurers and defendant law firms. This work has shown to be invaluable with her move to plaintiff litigation, granting her a comprehensive understanding of each side of the claims process.

At Shine, Diyana works exclusively in Plaintiff Law, specialising in WorkCover claims. Driven and determined, Diyana is a fierce advocate for those she represents. She will take the time to sit and listen to her client’s stories, ensuring they receive tailored advice and results that are best suited to their needs.
