Chloe is a Solicitor and compensation law expert with over 7 years’ experience in the legal industry, including over 3 years in personal injury law. Having previously worked across Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accident and Public Liability claims, she has now turned her attention to helping people impacted by Medical Negligence.

Chloe understands that, for most people, the legal process can be complex and difficult to understand. She feels it is important to help people navigate this process and to be able to break down the process and explain it in clear, simple terms. She believes that it is important to make clients feel comfortable to ask questions and tell their story. But most importantly, she is driven to champion the rights of her clients.

Working in Medical Law, Chloe knows that her clients are in an especially vulnerable place, having sought medical treatment or opinion for an injury or health condition which led to a worse outcome. People have placed their health and wellbeing in the hands of trusted medical professionals and when that trust is broken by negligent treatment and their injuries or conditions are made worse because of that treatment, Chloe is a passionate advocate for their having access to compensation.

Chloe has previously assisted in coronial inquests against some of the biggest medical institutions in Queensland, resulting in improved patient care and management and changes to the training of medical staff. She is pleased that the coronial process can sometimes result in improvements to the medical industry itself. But what inspires her daily is getting her clients compensation to make their lives more comfortable – whether that be compensation for ongoing treatment, assistance around the home, or to pay their bills and put food on the table because they can no longer work.

“The reality is, nothing can put my clients back in the position they were in prior to their injuries, or make their injuries disappear, but adequate compensation will help them to live more comfortably and move forward with their lives. Knowing that I have helped make a meaningful difference to someone’s life is what it’s all about.”

Chloe works across Shine Lawyers’ Medical Law practices in both Queensland and Western Australia.
