Caryn Ger is an Associate with Shine Lawyers’ Medical Negligence team in New South Wales. She works within a team of medical law specialists to provide help for those disadvantaged by negligence in the health system.

Having spent a number of years working for defendants, Caryn made the move into plaintiff work to work more closely with individuals and their families and make a real difference. Caryn has acted on behalf of clients covering a broad range of medical failures including acquired brain injuries, hypoxic events at birth, delayed or missed diagnosis of disease and surgical errors.

Her passion for, and expertise in medical law has led to several writing and speaking opportunities, including “Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda: Assessing Lost Earning Capacity in Children” in Precedent and presenting at the Capacity Assessment and Guardianship Workshop, hosted by the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment.
