The annual Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand (ALAANZ) Conference will be held with the support of the McGill University Institute of Air & Space Law (Montreal, Canada) in Melbourne from 7 – 9 May 2014.
As part of proceedings, a Space Law Workshop will be held on Wednesday 7 May 2014. The program of which you can view by clicking here.
The Shine Lawyers Aviation Department is a long-time member and supporter of ALAANZ which has, among its aims, “developing the practice of the law affecting the aviation industry and the exchange of information about aviation laws”.
Shine Lawyers is invited to speak at this first of its kind Space Law Workshop. The discussion will focus on the cutting edge topic of “regulation of emerging aerospace transportation”.
As new kinds of aerospace vehicles emerge for commercial transport applications, and even space tourism, this aspect of developing air safety and compensation law and policy will become increasingly important. This is especially so for countries like Australia which are highly dependent on air transport for recreational and commercial connectivity with the world.
Further details about the conference and workshop will follow once they are finalised.
For more information about the conference please visit ALAANZ for more information about the conference.
