Due to recent internal movements, our Toowoomba – Ruthven St office is searching for a Principal Claims Manager in our Settlements Services Team to join the business. Our Toowoomba - Ruthven St office is where the Accounts Team is based nationally.  We are seeking a passionate individual who wants to take the business to the next level.

The Role:

• Manage, coach and mentor Post Settlement Operators
• Manage workflow of all principal claim files in Queensland
• Obtain signed discharges, Medicare notices of settlement and trust account authorities
• Prepare files for cost assessment and recovery of standard costs
• Ensure client billing and reconciliations are processed in a timely manner
• Reviewing, re-engineering and implementing new and existing post settlement processes
• Liaise with clients, defendant solicitors, insurance companies and government departments
• Preparation of applicable reports and other file work as required

The Person:

• 3 years experience in a leadership position involving post settlement tasks
• This role would suit a experienced legal secretary
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Must have a good knowledge of the Queensland legal system and cost system associated with personal injury claims 
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementation of new processes
• Solid written and effective verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle a large volume of tasks and prioritise your week
