Payroll Officer – Toowoomba – 12 Month Maternity Leave Contract

Due to the incumbent going on maternity leave our Toowoomba – Ruthven St office is searching for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a 12 Month Maternity Leave contract.  Reporting to the National Finance Manager you will be responsible in providing assistance with all aspects of Payroll, including the following;

The Role:

  • Preparing the firms fortnightly payroll
  • Preparing the firms superannuation obligations
  • Preparing and reconciliation of the Payroll Tax returns
  • Completing end of month payroll reconciliations
  • Assisting in the posting of end of month journals
  • Liaising with the HR department and employees
  • Management Reporting

The successful candidate for this new and exciting role will have

Selection Criteria:

  • a passion for client service,
  • be proactive with drive and initiative along with strong communication skills,
  • a high degree of attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • a high level of numeracy literacy coupled with reconciliation and problem solving skills
  • The ability to work well in a close-knit team. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel is essential.
  • Experience with CHRIS21™ an advantage.
