If there is anyone who practices the Shine Lawyers’ ethos of determination, passion, and fearlessness it’s Leanne Smith. These characteristics have developed from a lifetime dedicated to plaintiff litigation, beginning in administration at Shine in 1994. In this time, Leanne developed a passion for law and studied externally at QUT and Griffith University where she obtained her legal qualifications.
Leanne’s commitment and ambitious attitude was rewarded by progressing through the ranks of Shine Lawyers. In 2004 she was promoted to manage the law firm’s Sunshine Coast office based in Maroochydore, in 2005 was elevated to an Associate of the firm and in 2011, Leanne was promoted to become a Shine Lawyers' Partner.
Leanne’s personal reward for all her hard work is the results she achieves for her clients. “It is a privilege to act for my clients and to help them in a time of great difficulty. I enjoy being able to stand up to big business for ordinary people who can’t do it themselves,” she said.
