Due to the establishment of our Social Justice Team a new position has arisen in our Sydney office and we are searching for a Graduate Solicitor to join the team. We are seeking a passionate individual, with common sense and a strong work ethic, who wants to help us to help others.

The Role entails:

 ·  Assisting the manager initiate and maintain social justice litigation including inquests, human rights complaints and anti-discrimination cases

·   Conducting legal and other research

·   Preparing reports and assisting with administrative tasks

·   Developing and maintaining strong working relationships

·   Drafting legal documentation, liaising with clients and assisting with submissions

Selection Criteria:

 ·  This role will suit a recent law graduate, a junior solicitor or someone close to completing their tertiary studies in law

·   Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills;

·    Excellent attention to detail;

·    Keen interest to learn and serve the disadvantaged

·    Willingness to strive to always maintain good working relationships

·    Strong work ethic

·    Experience in a Legal firm, academic research and in volunteer community legal work will be highly valued;

·    Ability to work autonomously and with common sense;

·    Demonstrated ability to handle a large volume of tasks and prioritize tasks
